Many PFAS may escape current targeted analytical approaches, which focus on a restricted set of well-known molecules, with the risk of underestimating the extent of contamination.
📍It is therefore essential to broaden detection tools and explore more comprehensive approaches to identifying and assessing these unsearched compounds, in order to gain a comprehensive view of the hazards associated with all PFAS.
👉Fluorine NMR has a role to play in this approach, providing a more comprehensive view of the presence and distribution of PFASs in the environment.
