The issue of “forever chemicals” has resurfaced in drinking water supplies in the Vosges region. 🚰 A New Restriction in Tendon On Monday, 20 October 2025, the prefecture declared the drinking water of Tendon (Vosges) unsafe for consumption for sensitive individuals due to an exceedance of the limit for the sum of 20 PFAS.
An investigation by journalists Emilie Rosso (France 3 Lorraine Champagne-Ardenne) and Nicolas Cossic (Disclose) reveals, for the first time in the agri‑food sector, the presence of PFAS—so‑called “forever chemicals”—within the production chain of Cristal Union, the company behind the sugar brand Daddy.
EU Moves to Phase Out PFAS Pesticides On March 12, 2025, EU Member States officially voted to permanently ban flufenacet, a pesticide belonging to the family of PFAS – “forever chemicals” known for their extreme persistence and toxic effects.
